BMS Stangeland Invests in 15 New Cranes from SANY  A major equipment investment by BMS Stangeland is set to boost crane operations across Norway, Sweden, and Finland with 15 new cranes currently working throughout the Nordics. The delivery of 15 mobile cranes makes it the biggest deal in Norwegian history. The fleet includes ten 110-ton Rough Terrain cranes and five 250-ton All-Terrain mobile cranes, all manufactured by Chinese heavy machinery giant SANY. Big news from the mines of Svappavaara where two fully electric SKT105E mining trucks, delivered and supported by Nordkust Maskin, are proving their reliability in harsh conditions. Despite the rugged terrain and shifting winter climate, the battery powered SKT105E wide-body mining trucks has since their deployment, in the middle of March, had an uptime of 99% and in total transported around 300 000 tonnes of raw material. Additionally, these electric trucks have reduced the total output of CO2 by 150 tonnes when compared to traditional diesel-powered mining trucks. Exciting news from SANY Group! We can confirm that four fully electric SANY SKT105E mining trucks have been deployed at the Kibali Gold Mine—a groundbreaking first for the end customer DTP. This marks a significant step forward in our shared commitment towards more sustainable mining practices.
